Integration of circadian and hypoxia signaling via non‐canonical heterodimerization

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CLOCK, BMAL1, and HIFs are basic helix‐loop‐helix and Per‐Arnt‐Sim domain (bHLH‐PAS) proteins, which function as transcription factors. bHLH‐PAS proteins are designated in two classes. Many class I proteins are regulated by environmental signals via their PAS domains, but such signals have not been identified for all.

LaPr3Ni3O9.76 as a candidate solid oxide fuel cell cathode: Role of microstructure and interface structure on electrochemical performance

open access: yesAPL Materials, 2019
A new higher-order Ruddlesden-Popper phase composition LaPr3Ni3O9.76 was synthesised by a sol-gel route and studied for potential intermediate-temperature solid oxide fuel cell cathode properties by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.

Substrate specificity of Burkholderia pseudomallei multidrug transporters is influenced by the hydrophilic patch in the substrate‐binding pocket

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Multidrug transporters BpeB and BpeF from the Gram‐negative pathogen Burkholderia pseudomallei have a hydrophilic patch in their substrate‐binding pocket. Drug susceptibility tests and growth curve analyses using an Escherichia coli recombinant expression system revealed that the hydrophilic patches of BpeB and BpeF are involved in the substrate ...

Function‐driven design of a surrogate interleukin‐2 receptor ligand

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Interleukin (IL)‐2 signaling can be achieved and precisely fine‐tuned through the affinity, distance, and orientation of the heterodimeric receptors with their ligands. We designed a biased IL‐2 surrogate ligand that selectively promotes effector T and natural killer cell activation and differentiation. Interleukin (IL) receptors play a pivotal role in
