On the Existence and Uniqueness of Solution to Fractional-Order Langevin Equation
In this work, we give sufficient conditions to investigate the existence and uniqueness of solution to fractional-order Langevin equation involving two distinct fractional orders with unprecedented conditions (three-point boundary conditions including ...

EXISTENCE AND UNIQUENESS OF CHAIN LADDER SOLUTIONS
AbstractThe cross-classified chain ladder has a number of versions, depending on the distribution to which observations are subject. The simplest case is that of Poisson distributed observations, and then maximum likelihood estimates of parameters are explicit.

On the existence and uniqueness of solutions of Möbius equations [PDF]
A generalization of the Schwarzian derivative to conformal mappings of Riemannian manifolds has naturally introduced the corresponding overdetermined differential equation which we call the Möbius equation. We are interested in study of the existence and uniqueness of the solution of the Möbius equation.

Existence and uniqueness theorem for a solution of fuzzy differential equations
By using the method of successive approximation, we prove the existence and uniqueness of a solution of the fuzzy differential equation x′(t)=f(t,x(t)),x(t0)=x0. We also consider an ϵ-approximate solution of the above fuzzy differential equation.

Existence and uniqueness of the Karcher mean on unital C⁎-algebras [PDF]
The Karcher mean on the cone $\Omega$ of invertible positive elements of the $C^*$-algebra $\mathcal{B}(E)$ of bounded operators on a Hilbert space $E$ has recently been extended to a contractive barycentric map on the space of $L^1$- probability ...

Existence and Uniqueness of Perturbation Solutions to DSGE Models [PDF]
We prove that standard regularity and saddle stability assumptions for linear approximations are sufficient to guarantee the existence of a unique solution for all undetermined coefficients of nonlinear perturbations of arbitrary order to discrete time DSGE models.

ABSTRACT Background Therapeutic apheresis (TA) is an established treatment modality for hematologic, neurologic, and immunologic disorders, yet access remains severely limited in sub‐Saharan Africa. Donor apheresis, including platelet apheresis collection from healthy donors, represents an important complementary modality supporting blood product ...

Determination of a Nonlinear Coefficient in a Time-Fractional Diffusion Equation
In this paper, we study direct and inverse problems for a nonlinear time fractional diffusion equation. We prove that the direct problem has a unique weak solution and the solution depends continuously on the coefficient.
