Establishing an Apheresis Medicine Program in a Resource‐Constrained Setting: A 5‐Year Experience From Lagos, Nigeria

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Establishing a comprehensive apheresis medicine program in a resource‐constrained setting presents significant structural, financial, and logistical challenges. Despite the growing clinical importance of apheresis services globally, published experience from sub‐Saharan Africa remains sparse.

An Existence Result for Nonlinear Fractional Differential Equations on Banach Spaces

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2009
The aim of this paper is to investigate a class of boundary value problem for fractional differential equations involving nonlinear integral conditions. The main tool used in our considerations is the technique associated with measures of noncompactness.

Existence and uniqueness result for a class of mixed variational problems

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2018
Our aim in this paper is to investigate the existence and uniqueness result for a class of mixed variational problems. They are governed by two variational inequalities.

On the existence of approximated equilibria in discontinuous economies [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper, we prove an existence theorem for approximated equilibria in a class of discontinuous economies. The existence result is a direct consequence of a discontinuous extension of Brouwer's fixed point Theorem (1912), and is a refinement of ...

Backward stochastic partial differential equations driven by infinite-dimensional martingales and applications [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper studies first a result of existence and uniqueness of the solution to a backward stochastic differential equation driven by an infinite-dimensional martingale.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

An existence result for $(p,q)$-Laplacian BVP with falling zeros.

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations
We show the existence of a positive solution to the $(p,q)$-Laplacian problem \begin{equation*} \begin{cases} -\Delta _{p}u-a\Delta _{q}u=\lambda f(u)-h(x)\quad \text{in }\Omega, \\ u=0\quad \text{on }\partial \Omega, \end{cases} \end{equation*} for ...

Existence results for nonconvex equilibrium problems

open access: yesOptimization Methods and Software, 2010
In this paper, we establish sufficient conditions for the existence of solutions of equilibrium problems in a metric space, that do not involve any convexity assumption either for the domain or for the function. To prove these results, a weak notion of semicontinuity is considered. Furthermore, some existence results for systems of equilibrium problems

An existence result and evolutionary Gamma-convergence for perturbed gradient systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We consider the initial-value problem for the perturbed gradient flows, where a differential inclusion is formulated in terms of a subdifferential of an energy functional, a subdifferential of a dissipation potential and a more general perturbation ...

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative
