Unveiling the Origin of the Selectivity and the Molecular Mechanism in the [3+2] Cycloaddition Reaction of N-aryl-C-carbamoylnitrone with N-arylitaconimide

open access: yesOrganics, 2022
The [3+2] cycloaddition reaction of N-aryl-C-carbamoylnitrone (nitrone 1) with N-arylitaconimide (ethylene 2) was computationally studied using the B3LYP/6-31G(d) level of theory. An analysis of the different energetic profiles and the transition states’

Effect of gas on microstructure and thermal reactivity of coal during low temperature oxidation

open access: yesMeitan kexue jishu, 2023
In order to investigate the microscopic physicochemical properties and macroscopic coal-oxygen complex thermal effects in the low-temperature oxidation of coal under gas atmosphere, different metamorphic coal and secondary oxidized coal samples as ...

The formation of ice mantles on interstellar grains revisited – the effect of exothermicity

open access: yesFaraday Discuss., 2014
Modelling of grain surface chemistry generally deals with the simulation of rare events. Usually deterministic methods or statistical approaches such as the kinetic Monte Carlo technique are applied for these simulations. All assume that the surface processes are memoryless, the Markov chain assumption, and usually also that their ...

Exothermic dark matter for XENON1T excess

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
Motivated by the recent excess in the electron recoil from XENON1T experiment, we consider the possibility of exothermic dark matter, which is composed of two states with mass splitting.

Significance of variable electrical conductivity on non-Newtonian fluid flow between two vertical plates in the coexistence of Arrhenius energy and exothermic chemical reaction

open access: yesPartial Differential Equations in Applied Mathematics, 2021
The present study is designed to model the combustible materials of two vertical plates with Arrhenius energy and exothermic chemical reaction. The magnetohydrodynamics fluid is considered to experience an exothermic chemical reaction inside the channel.

METHANOL STEAM REFORMING FOR HYDROGEN PRODUCTION IN MICROCHANNEL REACTORS

open access: yesChemical Engineering Journal Storage, 2022
Many attempts have been made to improve heat transfer for thermally integrated microchannel reforming reactors. However, the mechanisms for the effects of design factors on heat transfer characteristics are still not fully understood.

Effects of Changing Size-Weight Parameters on the Temperature Dependent Exothermic Riser Sleeve Properties

open access: yesEurasian Chemico-Technological Journal, 2018
Exothermic riser (feeder) sleeves are used to retain the heat in risers and to increase solidification duration. A riser should be enough hot to become the last solidified part in a mould cavity.

Recycling of NiTi Shape Memory Alloys: Fundamental and Technological Aspects of a Vacuum Induction Melting Processing Route

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The present study investigates recycling of NiTi shape memory alloys via vacuum induction melting. An ingot was synthesized from elemental Ni and Ti and subjected to three subsequent remelting cycles. Remelting increases process durations and impurity levels and adversely affects microstructures and functional properties.
