Biotic interactions drive ecosystem responses to exotic plant invaders
Science, 2020Exotic plants reduce carbon sequestration Invasive exotic plants have become a major problem worldwide, with transformational effects on the composition and function of ecosystems. In a multifactorial experiment in New Zealand, Waller et al.

The purpose of this article is to familiarize the reader with the basic venom components, the pathophysiologic responses of envenomated dogs and cats, and some brief treatment guidelines for envenomations by various exotic "pets." Representative toxic species of reptiles, amphibians, and arthropods are included.

Exotic shapes and exotic clusterization
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2011The interrelation of the largely elongated nuclear shapes and clusterization is discussed by applying semimicroscopic methods. 36Ar is considered as a specific example, where recent experimental heavy‐ion scattering data seem to justify the theoretical predictions on the hyperdeformed states.

In this paper we shortly review the status of the new quarkonium like states. After a general overview, we will focus on the experimental situation of the X(3872), of the 1−− states, and on the Z(4430)+, the first charged charmonium like states.

Laparoscopy is an evolving field in veterinary medicine, and there is an increased interest in using laparoscopic techniques in nondomestic mammals, including zoo animals, wildlife, and exotic pets. The aim of this article is to summarize the approach to laparoscopic procedures, including instrumentation, patient selection and preparation, and surgical

A long list of new states, hard to reconcile with heavy-flavor quarkonium spectra, has been discovered in the last years mainly by means of e+e¡ machines. An overview of the current experimental and phenomenological situation is given.
