Research on Homogeneity of Expanded Perlite Lightweight Concrete
Key Engineering Materials, 2014This paper discusses the reason of segregation of expanded perlite lightweight aggregate concrete. By adding fly ash, high effective admixture, the expanded perlite pre-wetting and so on,the expanded perlite lightweight concrete,CL5-CL10,was confect with good workability, homogeneity, no bleeding and segregation, easy casting and excavation.

Study of oil sorption by expanded perlite at 298.15K
Separation and Purification Technology, 2006Sorption capacity as well as sorption kinetics of oil onto four different expanded perlites with different physical and surface properties were studied. In order to meticulously measure the amount of oil to be sorbed onto the adsorbents used in this study both static and dynamic methods were employed.

Numerical simulation of bubble growth in expanding perlite
Journal of Materials Science, 2001Aiming to improve the comprehension of the expansion process of perlite, a numerical study has been carried out, concerning the water vapour bubble growth in softened perlite melt. The physical properties of the melt and temperature history during the expansion process are varied, in order to determine the most influencing parameters. Calculated bubble

Thermal stability of expanded perlite modified by mullite
Ceramics International, 2009Abstract Results of the thermal stability of expanded perlite modified by mullite are presented. Mullite was formed from alumino-silicate gel by sol–gel method. This method allowed us to obtain very homogenous and reactive gel and phase formation of mullite took place at relatively low temperatures. Expanded perlite modified with alumino-silicate gel

Microwave Drying of Expanded Perlite Insulation Board
Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research, 2012The microwave drying process intensification of new inorganic thermal insulation board, containing expanded perlite and inorganic binder, was investigated in a multimode microwave applicator, with a 1.8 kW, 2.45 GHz microwave source. Ability to generate heat inside moistened material and to avoid the problem of heat conduction to the core of the ...
