Lightweight Cement Mortars with Granulated Foam Glass and Waste Perlite Addition
This article presents the influence of granulated foam glass (GFG) on thermal insulation and mechanical properties of lightweight cement mortars. The mortars were additionally modified with addition of ground perlite dust.

Fatigue properties of expanded perlite/aluminum syntactic foams [PDF]
The main purpose of this paper is to present the basic fatigue properties of metal matrix syntactic foams. The investigated syntactic foams consisting of expanded perlite and A356 aluminum matrix were produced using an inert gas pressure infiltration technique.

Reduced fertilization regimes could boost biocontrol service without reducing crop yield
Fertilization level influences pest control effectiveness in tomato crops. High fertilization increases plant growth and aphid density but reduces the performance of the parasitoid Aphidius ervi. In contrast, the predator Adalia bipunctata maintains consistent aphid suppression regardless of fertilization regime.

Electrorheological response of mesoporous expanded perlite particles
Abstract In this study, chemical composition, structural and physical properties of expanded perlite (EP) were determined by particle size, apparent density, SEM-EDS and XRD measurements. Electrorheological (ER) properties of EP particles dispersed in silicone oil (SO) were fully investigated as a novel dry-based ER fluid.

Enhancing the vase life of cut roses through spectral optimisation during greenhouse cultivation
Here, we examined three red‐to‐blue (R:B) light emitting diode (LED) ratios (90:10, 80:20 and 70:30) in two cut rose cultivars. All treatments enhanced photosynthesis, with 90:10 showing the strongest effects—raising chlorophyll, carotenoids, anthocyanins and carbohydrate levels, and extending vase life by up to 30%.

Study on Phase Change Energy Storage Materials in Building Energy Saving
In order to prepare porous matrix phase change energy storage materials suitable for building energy saving, the fatty acids, such as stearic acid, lauric acid and capric acid, which are easy to be obtained, are selected as raw materials for the ...

Spodoptera litura neonates showed increased movement on Bt‐expressing Bollgard 3 (BG) cotton leaf discs but did not initially avoid it. Survival was higher when larvae could move from BG3 to non‐Bt leaf discs. On whole plants, more larvae dispersed from hatching on BG3 cotton compared to non‐Bt cotton. These findings suggest the larval movement differs

Hamiltonella defensa infection increases honeydew production in certain aphid genotypes, potentially modifying aphid feeding behaviour. Parasitoid wasps, Aphidius ervi, are more attracted to honeydew from H. defensa‐infected aphids; though larger honeydew amounts may slightly deter searching.

Төв аймгийн бор-уулын уулын перлитийн дулааны хөөлтийн горим
The perlit from Bor-Uul deposit has been studied. We produced expended perlite by a heat expansion principle using a vertical stationary furnace at different conditions.
