Effect of Expansion Ratio on Formability in Tube Drawing with Diameter Expansion

2021
Conventional tube drawing methods have the disadvantage that thickness reduction in one pass is small. This paper proposed a tube drawing method for overcoming this disadvantage, and the method expands the diameter at the same time of drawing. At first, the tube is flared by pushing the plug into the tube end.

A Preliminary Study of Ada Expansion Ratios

Journal of Parametrics, 1986
Since the mandate (DoDD 5001.31) requiring the use of the Ada language in all mission critical software, a need for revised expansion ratios for estimating Ada software has emerged. This paper describes a study to determine a set of preliminary Ada expansion ratios. Three classes of Ada programming features were identified during this study.

A theoretical study of the mechanism with variable compression ratio and expansion ratio

Mechanics Based Design of Structures and Machines, 2017
ABSTRACTIn recent years, due to global energy crisis, many governments have reduced emission of carbon dioxide by regulations, which make improving efficiency of engines an important topic. Carmakers have focused on an energy-saving measure called variable compression ratio (VCR) because it suits related technologies with high efficiency easily.

Expansions of the likelihood ratio and applications

IEEE Transactions on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 1986
The likelihood ratio receiver, although optimal, is oftentimes difficult to realize. To overcome this difficulty, suboptimal approximations have been studied in the past. One of the simplest approaches is to expand the likelihood ratio and truncate this expansion under the weak signal assumption.

The limiting expansion ratio of real materials

Steel Research, 1985
The production of the precut hole was by drilling, turning and finishing. Subsequently, the edges of the hole were polished in order to prevent, as far as possible, any hardening of the edges and also to produce an idealised surface. This procedure is necessary since the effect of the surface quality of the hole edge on the expansion ratio is greater ...

A critical review on hole expansion ratio

Materialia, 2020
Abstract Materials resistance to edge fracture in intricate shape forming is commonly quantified by hole expansion ratio (HER). Hole expansion test is normally used to evaluate HER. To date, the governing factors of HER have not well understood regardless of its importance for automotive part manufacturing with advanced high-strength steels.

Asymptotic expansions for the ratio of gamma functions

Carpathian Journal of Mathematics, 2014
The main object of this paper is to establish a class of the asymptotic expansions for the ratio of gamma functions ..., by mainly using Bell polynomials and the partition function. This unifies several approximation formulas for the ratio of gamma functions due to Mortici.
