Structural and mechanistic basis for the regulation of the chloroplast signal recognition particle by (p)ppGpp

open access: yesFEBS Letters, Volume 599, Issue 10, Page 1373-1385, May 2025.
LHCPs are transported to the thylakoid membrane via the (cp)SRP pathway. This process involves a transit complex of (cp)SRP43, (cp)SRP54 and LHCP, which interacts with (cp)FtsY and Alb3 at the membrane. GTP hydrolysis by (cp)SRP54 and (cp)FtsY triggers complex dissociation.

A Test of Expectancy Theory and Demographic Characteristics as Predictors of Faking and Honesty in Employment Interviews

open access: yesPersonnel Assessment and Decisions, 2021
Job applicants vary in the extent to which they fake or stay honest in employment interviews, yet the contextual and demographic factors underlying these behaviors are unclear.

Exact finite volume expectation values of conserved currents [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The vacuum expectation values of conserved currents play an essential role in the generalized hydrodynamics of integrable quantum field theories. We use analytic continuation to extend these results for the excited state expectation values in a finite volume.

Expected $L_2-$discrepancy bound for a class of new stratified sampling models [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
We introduce a class of convex equivolume partitions. Expected $L_2-$discrepancy are discussed under these partitions. There are two main results. First, under this kind of partitions, we generate random point sets with smaller expected $L_2-$discrepancy than classical jittered sampling for the same sampling number.

Unraveling Mycobacterium tuberculosis acid resistance and pH homeostasis mechanisms

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mycobacterium tuberculosis exhibits a remarkable resilience to acid stress. In this Review, we discuss some of the molecular mechanisms and metabolic pathways used by the tubercle bacilli to adapt and resist host‐mediated acid stress. Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) is a successful pathogen that has developed a variety of strategies to survive and ...

Refining the NaV1.7 pharmacophore of a class of venom‐derived peptide inhibitors via a combination of in silico screening and rational engineering

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Venom peptides have shown promise in treating pain. Our study uses computer screening to identify a peptide that targets a sodium channel (NaV1.7) linked to chronic pain. We produced the peptide in the laboratory and refined its design, advancing the search for innovative pain therapies.

The Saccharomyces cerevisiae amino acid transporter Lyp1 has a broad substrate spectrum

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Yeast Amino acid Transporter family members mediate the import of amino acids, ranging from substrate specialists to generalists. Here, we show that the specialist transporter, Lyp1, has a broader substrate spectrum than previously described, with affinity constants spanning from micromolar to millimolar.
