EXPECTANCY THEORY EXPLAINING CIVIL SERVANTS’ WORK MOTIVATION. EVIDENCE FROM A ROMANIAN CITY HALL

open access: yesUSV Annals of Economics and Public Administration, 2017
This research analyzes the work motivation of civil servants from Cluj-Napoca City Hall. Based on Victor Vroom’s expectancy theory are analyzed the aspects related to the context of work and career of civil servants that influence their expectation ...

Cosmology and Models of Supersymmetry Breaking in String Theory [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1994
Supersymmetry breaking in string theory is expected to occur when moduli fields acquire non-trivial expectation values. In the early universe these fields start out displaced from their final destinations. I present some recent ideas about the cosmological evolution of the dilaton modulus field on the way to its vacuum expectation value.

New developments in revealed preference theory: decisions under risk, uncertainty, and intertemporal choice [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
This survey reviews recent developments in revealed preference theory. It discusses the testable implications of theories of choice that are germane to specific economic environments. The focus is on expected utility in risky environments; subjected expected utility and maxmin expected utility in the presence of uncertainty; and exponentially ...

Expectations and control theory

open access: yesÉconomie appliquée, 1983
Optimal control theory has to be adapted in two (interrelated) directions to be useful in a policy design for social and economic systems. First, allowance has to be made for the fact that policy design in social systems is not a game against nature but a proper, many-player game between rational agents.

Impact of molecular diagnostics and targeted cancer therapy on patient outcomes (MODIFY): a retrospective study of the implementation of precision oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The authors conducted a retrospective study of 94 patients with advanced cancer who underwent next‐generation sequencing (NGS) gene panel analysis and received targeted treatments when applicable. Results further support evidence indicating that molecular profiling provides clinical benefit.

Well‐being on supportive techniques in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis: from neurologists' perspective

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, Volume 9, Issue 12, Page 1874-1883, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Objective To investigate intercultural neurologists' perception of well‐being in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) using gastrostomy (PEG), non‐invasive, and/or invasive ventilation (NIV/IV) and to analyse the determinants and impact on the management of the above medical interventions (MIs).

Expectation value of composite field $T{\bar T}$ in two-dimensional quantum field theory [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2004
I show that the expectation value of the composite field $T{\bar T}$, built from the components of the energy-momentum tensor, is expressed exactly through the expectation value of the energy-momentum tensor itself. The relation is derived in two-dimensional quantum field theory under broad assumptions, and does not require integrability.

KMT2A degradation is observed in decitabine‐responsive acute lymphoblastic leukemia cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We demonstrate that decitabine (DEC) not only degrades the DNA methyltransferase DNMT1 but also the leukemic driver lysine methyltransferase KMT2A likely due to structural similarity of the DNA‐binding CXXC domains. DEC influences KMT2A downstream processes and synergizes with menin inhibitor revumenib (REV) to decrease leukemic cell proliferation, and
