We consider assortment problems under a mixture of multinomial logit models. There is a fixed revenue associated with each product. There are multiple customer types. Customers of different types choose according to different multinomial logit models whose parameters depend on the type of the customer.

This study estimates average per acre indemnity payments for Iowa corn for traditional multiple-peril crop insurance and two revenue insurance products, Crop Revenue Coverage and Income Protection. Yield and price difference distributions are formed and employed in 1,000 simulation runs.
