This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...

SPATIAL VARIATION IN RISK PREFERENCES AMONG ATLANTIC AND GULF OF MEXICO PELAGIC LONGLINE FISHERMEN [PDF]
This paper shows the effects of spatially aggregating data in an analysis of fishing site choice among Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico longline fishers. Parameter estimates of expected utility, measures of risk, and estimates of welfare losses from area ...

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Real-World Robot Control Based on Contrastive Deep Active Inference With Demonstrations
Despite significant advances in robotics and deep learning, the ability of robots to perceive and act remain far below that of humans. To bridge this gap, we utilize active inference, a framework based on the free-energy principle that accounts for ...

RISK BALANCING USING FARM LEVEL DATA: AN ECONOMETRIC ANALYSIS [PDF]
In the paper, an econometric model is proposed to test the risk balancing hypothesis using farm level data. For the purpose, a constraint on expected utility maximization with respect to farm financial structure is given.

Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Diversification, convex preferences and non-empty core in the Choquet expected utility model [PDF]
This paper explores risk-sharing and equilibrium in a general equilibrium set-up wherein agents are non-additive expected utility maximizers. We show that when agents have the same convex capacity, the set of Pareto-optima is independent of it and ...

Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

ECONOMIC INSIGHTS INTO THE SITING PROBLEM: AN APPLICATION OF THE EXPECTED UTILITY MODEL [PDF]
Despite the generally recognized need for facilities such as power plants, landfills, prisons, and medical laboratories, finding host sites has become extremely difficult.
