Monitoring purchaser expenditure patterns
Mathematical Medicine and Biology, 1995This study outlines the development and application of a methodology that allows direct comparison of the elements that make up in-patient healthcare across the West Midlands Regional Health Authority. The methodology produces a model which monitors the mechanism of resource utilization within the Region and the factors that influence it.

Household Expenditure Patterns
Journal of Family Issues, 1982Family expenditures during different stages of the family life cycle (as indicated by the age of the family head) are analyzed to determine how consumer spending patterns vary. A model of expenditures for consumer goods is constructed, and a life cycle hypothesis of consumer spending is tested.

Health care expenditure patterns for adolescents
Journal of Adolescent Health Care, 1990Health care expenditure patterns are described using a sample of 2,767 adolescents aged 10 to 18 years from the National Medical Care Utilization and Expenditure Survey. Average total per capita health care expenditures were $525. Average out-of-pocket expenses were $151 in 1988 dollars.
