There is an unmet need in metastatic breast cancer patients to monitor therapy response in real time. In this study, we show how a noninvasive and affordable strategy based on sequencing of plasma samples with longitudinal tracking of tumour fraction paired with a statistical model provides valuable information on treatment response in advance of the ...

Rats were given a single oral dose of cholestane-3β,5α,6β-triol-4-14C, and their feces were collected. The two major neutral metabolites were separated and isolated by use of solvent fractionation and chromatographic methods.

We identified adaptor protein ShcD as upregulated in triple‐negative breast cancer and found its expression to be correlated with reduced patient survival and increased invasion in cell models. Using a proteomic screen, we identified novel ShcD binding partners involved in EGFR signaling pathways.

Chemotherapy of Experimental Meningeal Gliomatosis
Experimental models of meningeal gliomatosis (MG) were established by intracisternal inoculation of rat C6 and 9L gliomas. The response of these experimental models to chemotherapy and in vitro chemosensitivity were studied in both cell lines. Cell suspensions of 1 × 107 C6 and 9L glioma cells were injected subcutaneously into the cisterna magna of ...

Separation of neutral glycosphingolipids and sulfatides by thin-layer chromatography
Two one-dimensional systems for separation of glycolipids from total lipid extracts of tissues by thin-layer chromatography are described. System I used, as adsorbent, an alkaline mixture of silica gel without CaSO4 binder (75%) and magnesium silicate ...

Inhibitor of DNA binding‐1 is a key regulator of cancer cell vasculogenic mimicry
Elevated expression of transcriptional regulator inhibitor of DNA binding 1 (ID1) promoted cancer cell‐mediated vasculogenic mimicry (VM) through regulation of pro‐angiogenic and pro‐cancerous genes (e.g. VE‐cadherin (CDH5), TIE2, MMP9, DKK1). Higher ID1 expression also increased metastases to the lung and the liver.

This study used longitudinal transcriptomics and gene‐pattern classification to uncover patient‐specific mechanisms of chemotherapy resistance in breast cancer. Findings reveal preexisting drug‐tolerant states in primary tumors and diverse gene rewiring patterns across patients, converging on a few dysregulated functional modules. Despite receiving the

The Raf/MEK/ERK pathway is an importantmediator of tumor cell proliferation and angiogenesis. Here, weinvestigated the growth-inhibitory and antiangiogenic properties of PD0325901, a novel MEK inhibitor, in human melanoma cells.

This study develops a semi‐supervised classifier integrating multi‐genomic data (1404 training/5893 validation samples) to improve homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) detection in breast cancer. Our method demonstrates prognostic value and predicts chemotherapy/PARP inhibitor sensitivity in HRD+ tumours.
