Vertical cross-shareholding: Theory and experimental evidence

International Journal of Industrial Organization, 2007
Abstract This paper analyzes vertical cross-shareholding, that is, the mutual holding of a minority of shares between vertically related firms. First, we explore the issue in a game-theoretic model and show that cross-shareholding is sufficient to obtain efficient outcomes. We then test the model's predictions in an experiment.

Laboratory Experimental Setup For Cross-Well Radar

16th EEGS Symposium on the Application of Geophysics to Engineering and Environmental Problems, 2003
Cross Well Radar is a technique that uses Ground Penetrating Radar, with antennas that are lowered into sampling wells in-situ by cable. Radar waves are emitted from a transmitting antenna in one well propagate through the ground to a receiving antenna in a second well to image the dielectric properties of soils for detecting contaminants (such as ...

An Experimental Cross-Connect System for Metropolitan Applications

IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, 1987
New approaches to structuring the transport layer of telecommunications networks can lead to significantly enhanced capabilities at the same time as reducing network operating costs. Proposals for a network transport layer based upon a series of narrow-band, wide-band, and broad-band digital cross-connects are presented.

Genetic dissection of complex traits.

Science, 1994
Medical genetics was revolutionized during the 1980s by the application of genetic mapping to locate the genes responsible for simple Mendelian diseases. Most diseases and traits, however, do not follow simple inheritance patterns.

Cross‐circulation in experimental hepatic failure in the pig

Liver, 1986
ABSTRACT— In experimental liver failure (pigs with totally devascularized liver) the effect of different types of extracorporeal hepatic assistance was evaluated. Group I (N = 6) were untreated controls, Group II (N = 6), simple cross‐circulation, Group III (N = 6), cross‐circulation with inflow in the donor directly into the portal vein and Group IV ...

[Experimental cross-bow injury].

Soudni lekarstvi, 2006
A high of easily obtainable cross-bows was pointed out in an experiment. In the same time, an experience from foreign papers was verified that injuries caused by arrows with a head for target shooting can imitate the gun shot injuries. Because of their rate increasing in connection with accesibility of cross-bows these injuries need to be recognized ...

Numerical and experimental analysis of a cross antenna

2006 International Caribbean Conference on Devices, Circuits and Systems, 2006
The cross antenna is a medium gain and circular polarization structure made of a conductor or strip line over a ground plane, following a cross contour of four or more branches. One end is feed by a generator and the other one is charged with a load impedance.

Deconvolution of experimental differential cross sections

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1989
A method to deconvolute experimental differential cross sections is presented. The procedure removes the effect of the angular divergence of the primary beam, the finite size of the detector, and multiple scattering. The resulting cross section is the optimal experimental result.
