Life Factors and Melanoma: From the Macroscopic State to the Molecular Mechanism

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Melanoma, an aggressive skin cancer, arises from dynamic interactions between genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors. This review explores how age, gender, obesity, diet, exercise, smoking, alcohol, UV exposure, circadian rhythms, and medications influence melanoma risk and progression.

Tead1a Initiates Transcriptional Priming Through the TEAD1a/YAP‐Notch1‐Spi1/Cebpα Axis to Promote Neutrophil Fate

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study discovered that the protein TEAD1a is crucial for neutrophil development. In zebrafish models, disrupting TEAD1a or its interaction with partner protein YAP1 caused severe neutrophil deficiency. TEAD1a functions during the early HSC stage, activates Notch1 signaling in the GMP stage, and triggers Spi1 and Cebpα to drive neutrophil terminal ...

ZDHHC12 Palmitoylates HDAC8 to Promote the Progression of Hepatocellular Carcinoma Associated with a Diet High in Saturated Fatty Acids

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies ZDHHC12 as a critical mediator of PA‐induced HCC progression. Mechanistically, PA upregulates ZDHHC12 expression through SMARCA4 activation, leading to HDAC8 palmitoylation at Cys244 which blocks HSC70‐mediated lysosomal degradation of HDAC8, thereby promoting HCC development. These findings provide novel mechanistic insights into

Highly Ordered DNA Framework Interface Enables Efficient Enzymatic Oligonucleotide Synthesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tetrahedral DNA nanostructures (TDN) ‐based nanoscopic interface provides ordered upright orientation and optimal spacing for initiator primers, enhancing enzyme accessibility in interfacial enzymatic oligonucleotide synthesis (EOS). Notably, efficient TDN‐based EOS is employed for DNA information storage by synthesizing a 60‐nucletide DNA fragment ...
