Generalization of the critical chain method supporting the management of projects with a high degree of uncertainty and imperfect information [PDF]
In the critical chain method the fundamental notion is the project buffer, and its length is based on task estimation risk. This estimation is almost never unequivocal. If it is not correct, the whole method may turn out to be ineffective.

Increased Endurance of Nonvolatile Photonics Enabled by Nanostructured Phase‐Change Materials
Tapered and segmented islands of the phase‐change material (PCM) antimony selenide (Sb2Se3) integrated on silicon microring resonators enable ultra‐low‐loss, high‐endurance, non‐volatile photonic tuning. The nanostructured PCM design suppresses interfacial scattering and thermal stress, achieving record endurance over 100 million electrical switching ...

Composition Restoration Enables Recycling of Mixed‐Cation, Mixed‐Halide Perovskites for Solar Cells
Compositional drift during processing prevents the direct recycling of mixed‐cation, mixed‐halide perovskites. This work introduces a framework to quantitatively audit and restore recovered materials, enabling closed‐loop recycling with efficiencies comparable to virgin perovskites.

A Family of Sodium Solid‐State Electrolytes Based on the NaGaxAl1‐xCl4 Solid Solution
ABSTRACT Sodium‐based metal chloride solid electrolytes are promising for sodium solid‐state batteries due to their excellent oxidation stability, which, as shown for Li halides, can coexist with high ionic conductivity. To explore cationic substitution effects, we synthesized NaGaxAl1‐xCl4 (0 ≤ x ≤ 1) via ball milling and investigated structural and ...

On the optimality of expert-adjusted forecasts [PDF]
Official forecasts of international institutions are never purely model-based. Preliminary results of models are adjusted with expert opinions. What is the impact of these adjustments for the forecasts? Are they necessary to get 'optimal' forecasts? When
