An effective recursive formula for the Frobenius covariants in matrix functions

open access: yesSpecial Matrices, 2017
For theoretical studies, it is helpful to have an explicit expression for a matrix function. Several methods have been used to determine the required Frobenius covariants.

RELATING EFL LEARNERS’ GRAMMAR KNOWLEDGE TO THEIR USE OF PRAGMATIC EXPRESSIONS

open access: yesIJEE (Indonesian Journal of English Education), 2015
When people use language as a tool to communicate, the meaning that is conveyed or received will be more than what is heard from the explicit utterances.

In vitro properties of patient serum predict clinical outcome after high dose rate brachytherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Following high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR‐BT) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), patients were classified as responders and nonresponders. Post‐therapy serum induced increased BrdU incorporation and Cyclin E expression of Huh7 and HepG2 cells in nonresponders, but decreased levels in responders.

Implicit Polarity and Implicit Aspect Recognition in Opinion Mining

open access: yesAnnual Meeting of the Association for Computational Linguistics, 2016
This paper deals with a double-implicit problem in opinion mining and sentiment analysis. We aim at identifying aspects and polarities of opinionated statements not consisting of opinion words and aspect terms.

Reduced vascular leakage correlates with breast carcinoma T regulatory cell infiltration but not with metastatic propensity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A mouse model for vascular normalization and a human breast cancer cohort were studied to understand the relationship between vascular leakage and tumor immune suppression. For this, endothelial and immune cell RNAseq, staining for vascular function, and immune cell profiling were employed.

Liquid biopsy epigenetics: establishing a molecular profile based on cell‐free DNA

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) fragments in plasma from cancer patients carry epigenetic signatures reflecting their cells of origin. These epigenetic features include DNA methylation, nucleosome modifications, and variations in fragmentation. This review describes the biological properties of each feature and explores optimal strategies for harnessing cfDNA ...

Description of verb aspect in grammars of the Kajkavian literary language

open access: yesRasprave Instituta za Hrvatski Jezik i Jezikoslovlje, 2008
In grammars of the Kajkavian literary language, verb aspect is described both implicitly and explicitly. I. Kristijanović’s grammar, in which the author described verb aspect as one of the basic characteristics of a verb, is an example of the explicit ...

Bounds for Rankin--Selberg integrals and quantum unique ergodicity for powerful levels

open access: yes, 2013
Let f be a classical holomorphic newform of level q and even weight k. We show that the pushforward to the full level modular curve of the mass of f equidistributes as qk -> infinity. This generalizes known results in the case that q is squarefree.
