Influence of Chamber Geometrical Parameters on Suppressing Explosion Propagation

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2021
In this article, the effect of a chamber’s geometrical parameters on suppressing gas explosion propagation was studied. Three rectangular chambers were used in the study, with a constant length of 0.5 m, a constant height of 0.2 m, and a variable width ...

White Matter Microstructural Abnormalities in Neonatal Onset Genetic Epilepsy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Recent evidence indicates that epilepsy is associated with abnormal white matter. If seizures alter white matter, then the impact upon network function, epileptogenesis, and cognition could be pronounced in neonates undergoing rapid developmental myelination. Neonates with epilepsy due to nonstructural genetic causes provide a unique

The Effect of Explosion-suppression Materials on the Effective Volume and Cook-off Properties of Fuel Tank

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2015
In this paper, three kinds of explosion-suppression materials including aluminum alloy, polyurethane foam and spherical polymer are measured to get the data of displacement ratio and retention ratio, which can be used to calculate the reduction ratio of ...

In Situ Micromechanical Study of Bimodal γ′–γ″ Precipitate Assemblies in Ni–Cr–Al–Nb Superalloy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A Ni–Cr–Al–Nb superalloy with a bimodal γ′–γ″ precipitate distribution is developed. Composite precipitate assemblies form through heterogeneous nucleation, effectively impeding dislocation motion. Micropillar compression reveals high strength at room and elevated temperatures, governed by precipitate shearing, with coupled faulting mechanisms ...

Swelling‐Programmed Topographical Guidance for Dynamic Spheroid Self‐Assembly via a Mechanochemical Hydrogel Niche

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A swelling‐programmed micropatterned hydrogel guides adherent cells through a controlled transition from cell–matrix anchoring to cadherin‐mediated cell–cell compaction, enabling rapid assembly of high‐viability spheroids with defined size and morphology.

Fusogenic RNA Nanomodules for Fusion‐Mediated and Multiplexed siRNA Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A fusogenic lipid‐layered RNA nanomodules (L‐CRAMs) enable high‐capacity and long‐lasting siRNA delivery through membrane fusion. These nanomodules carry exceptionally large siRNA payloads, avoid conventional endosomal uptake, and release multiple functional siRNAs through Dicer‐mediated processing.

The Suppression Characteristics of NH4H2PO4/Red Mud Composite Powders on Methane Explosion

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2018
The composite powders composed of red mud (RM) and NH4H2PO4 (NH4H2PO4/RM) were successfully prepared by the anti-solvent method. The composition and structure of the NH4H2PO4/RM composite powders were characterized by the techniques of X-ray diffraction (

Study on the explosion suppression characteristics of typical explosion suppressants on different types of coal

open access: yesArabian Journal of Chemistry
In response to the research problem of the lack of typical explosion suppressants on the suppression of different volatile components and fixed carbon coal dust, we studied the differences in the explosion characteristics and flame propagation characteristics of four different typical explosion suppressants on different coal dust explosion ...
