Zinc(II) coordination complexes with tunable aryloxy‐imine ligands exhibit controllable supramolecular self‐assembly into hierarchical fibrous structures. Coordination‐driven stacking, not π–π interactions, enables gelation, dynamic assembly/disassembly, and enhanced nanomechanical properties.

Ferroelectricity in Single‐Crystalline BaTiO3 Nanodisks on Silicon
Ferroelectricity is studied in 20 nm thick single crystalline BaTiO3 nanodisks when scaling their diameter from ≈ 400 down to 100 nm. For 100 nm diameter, the vertical polarization component adopts three distinct patterns, and the lateral one shows a rotational invariance in‐plane, suggesting a combination of center‐type and flux‐closure domains.

Impact processes in the Solar System: New understandings through numerical modeling [PDF]
A collision of two rocky objects circling the sun in space, each roughly the size and mass of a large mountain range, was modeled. A fragmentation hydrocode was developed to perform dynamical computations of collisional outcomes.

Events in the life of a cocoon surrounding a light, collapsar jet
According to the collapsar model, gamma-ray bursts are thought to be produced in shocks that occur after the relativistic jet has broken free from the stellar envelope.

Biomaterial Strategies for Targeted Intracellular Delivery to Phagocytes
Phagocytes are essential to a functional immune system, and their behavior defines disease outcomes. Engineered particles offer a strategic opportunity to target phagocytes, harnessing inflammatory modulation in disease. By tuning features like size, shape, and surface, these systems can modulate immune responses and improve targeted treatment for a ...
