Some Observations About the Drop-weight Explosive Sensitivity Test
The apparent simplicity of the drop-weight apparatus for explosive sensitivity testing hides the reality that it is actually a complex integrated test of both ignition and growth of deflagration.

Modeling the effects of high strain rate loading on RC columns using Arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian (ALE) technique [PDF]
In recent years, many studies have been conducted by governmental and nongovernmental organizations across the world in an attempt to better understand the effect of explosive loads on buildings in order to better design against specific threats.

The ultraselective H2S detection of the ZIF‐L/SnS2 heterostructure is demonstrated. The introduction of 2‐dimensional (2D) breathable ZIF‐L results in a substantial increase in H2S selectivity attributable to the molecular sieving effect, which impedes the permeation of gases with large kinetic diameters and high polarity.

Testing of Confining Pressure Impacton Explosion Energy of Explosive Materials [PDF]
Abstract This paper presents the results of testing the explosion effects of two explosive charges placed in an environment with specified values of confining pressure. The aim of this study is to determine the impact of variable environmental conditions on the suitability of particular explosives for their use in the prevention of natural hazards

Protonic ceramic fuel cells offer a promising route to generate power efficiently but face critical challenges in achieving industrially viable activity and stability at their cathodes in CO2‐containing air. This report proposes a new cathode material design strategy to enable the cathode to be both catalytically active and CO2 tolerant through the ...

Structurally Colored Physically Unclonable Functions with Ultra‐Rich and Stable Encoding Capacity
This study reports a design strategy for generating bright‐field resolvable physically unclonable functions with extremely rich encoding capacity coupled with outstanding thermal and chemical stability. The optical response emerges from thickness‐dependent structural color formation in ZnO features, which are fabricated by physical vapor deposition ...
