Exponential trigonometric convex functions and Hermite-Hadamard type inequalities

Mathematica Slovaca, 2021
Abstract In this manuscript, we introduce and study the concept of exponential trigonometric convex functions and their some algebraic properties. We obtain Hermite-Hadamard type inequalities for the newly introduced class of functions.

On exponential and trigonometric functions on nonuniform lattices

The Ramanujan Journal, 2019
On non-uniform lattices, the authors develop analogs of exponential and trigonometric functions (including the \(q\)-exponential function). They derive many fundamental properties of these functions, such as the addition formula, positivity, reciprocal and the fundamental trigonometric relations.

On hardware for computing exponential and trigonometric functions

IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1996
Summary: This paper presents new, fast hardware for computing the exponential function, sine, and cosine. The main new idea is to use low-precision arithmetic components to approximate high precision computations, and then to correct very quickly the approximation error periodically so that the effect is to get high precision computation at near low ...

Some hypergeometric summation formulas and series identities associated with exponential and trigonometric functions

Integral Transforms and Special Functions, 2008
Abstract In this paper, we obtain two Gaussian hypergeometric summation formulas and show how each of these summation formulas can be applied to derive several general double-series identities and various generalized hypergeometric representations of such combinations of the exponential and trigonometric functions as The results presented here are ...

Trigonometric sums with exponential functions and the distribution of signs in repeating decimals

Mathematical Notes of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, 1970
Rational trigonometric sums with exponential functions are investigated and used in a study of the distribution of signs in repeating decimals.

The generalized exponential function and fractional trigonometric identities

2011 20th European Conference on Circuit Theory and Design (ECCTD), 2011
In this work, we recall the generalized exponential function in the fractional-order domain which enables defining generalized cosine and sine functions. We then re-visit some important trigonometric identities and generalize them from the narrow integer-order subset to the more general fractional-order domain. Generalized hyperbolic function relations

Defining Exponential and Trigonometric Functions Using Differential Equations

Mathematics Magazine, 2014
SummaryThis note addresses the question of how to rigorously define the functions exp(x), sin(x), and cos(x), and develop their properties directly from that definition. We take a differential equations approach, defining each function as the solution of an initial value problem.

A NOTE ON TWO RESULTS ASSOCIATED WITH EXPONENTIAL AND TRIGONOMETRIC FUNCTIONS

Far East Journal of Mathematical Sciences (FJMS), 2016
Summary: The objective of this note is to show how we can establish Taylor-Maclaurin series expansions of products of exponential and trigonometric functions in an elementary way.
