Integrating the EM algorithm with particle filter for image restoration with exponential dispersion noise

Communications in Statistics - Theory and Methods, 2021
Images are often degraded during the data acquisition process. The degradation may involve blurring, information loss due to sampling, and various sources of noise. The purpose of image restoration is to estimate the original image from the degraded data.

Contaminated Exponential Dispersion Loss Models

North American Actuarial Journal, 2003
Abstract A new family of contaminated exponential dispersion loss models is defined and some of its properties are examined. These models offer a wider family of loss distributions, allowing the modeling of extreme claims. Their usefulness is illustrated with real data.

Exponential dispersion models and credibility

Scandinavian Actuarial Journal, 1998
Abstract The Exponential Dispersion Family is a rich family of distributions, comprised of several distributions, some of which are heavy-tailed and as such could be of significant relevance to actuarial science. The family draws its richness from a dispersion parameter σ 2 = 1/λ which is equal to 1 in the case of the Natural Exponential Family.

On Parameter Estimation for Exponential Dispersion Arma Models

Journal of Time Series Analysis, 2005
Abstract.  A class of autoregressive moving‐average (ARMA) models proposed by Jørgensen and Song [Journal of Applied Probability (1998), vol. 35, pp. 78–92] with exponential dispersion model margins are useful to deal with non‐normal stationary time series with high‐order autocorrelation.

Tweedie Exponential Dispersion Processes for Degradation Modeling, Prognostic, and Accelerated Degradation Test Planning

IEEE Transactions on Reliability, 2020
Degradation modeling is an important method of reliability analysis for highly reliable products. The common degradation models are based on specific stochastic processes. This limits the widespread application of the modeling methods. A unified approach

A Particle-Filter-Based Online Method for Degradation Analysis with Exponential-Dispersion Process

2020 Asia-Pacific International Symposium on Advanced Reliability and Maintenance Modeling (APARM), 2020
As a flexible stochastic process for degradation mod-eling and analysis, the exponential-dispersion process includes several widely used stochastic processes as its special cases, such as Wiener, gamma and inverse Gaussian processes.
