Optical solutions to time-fractional improved (2+1)-dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger equation in optical fibers

open access: yesScientific Reports
In this paper, we investigate the time-fractional improved (2+1)-dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger equation with power-law nonlinearity, group-velocity dispersion, and spatio-temporal dispersion in nonlinear optics.

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Bifurcation in a Fractional SIR Model With Normalized Caputo–Fabrizio Derivative

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society
Models of fractional-order epidemics more accurately represent memory and hereditary effects compared to traditional integer-order models. However, many Caputo–Fabrizio (CF) SIR models utilize a non-normalized kernel, which can distort the scaling and ...

Intermediate Resistive State in Wafer‐Scale Vertical MoS2 Memristors Through Lateral Silver Filament Growth for Artificial Synapse Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

Mechanisms of microbubble vibration in water-gas dispersion system enhancing microscopic oil displacement efficiency

open access: yesPetroleum Exploration and Development
Two etching models, the spherical-rod standard pore channel and the pore structure, were used to conduct displacement experiments in the water-gas dispersion system to observe the morphological changes and movement characteristics of microbubbles ...

Wearable Smart Patches on Sustainable Chitosan With Reversible Microbial Growth‐Inhibitory Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Chitosan, a polysaccharide upcycled from biowaste, has long promised sustainable, biocompatible, and antimicrobial films and devices, an appeal reinforced by its recent regulatory recognition, with several chitosan‐based antibacterial dressings gaining clearance through the Food and Drug Administration's 510(k) pathway.

A Mathematical Filtering and Prediction Framework for Chinese Financial News Sentiment Signals

open access: yesMathematics
Raw sentiment extracted from Chinese financial news is noisy and difficult to use directly for market prediction. This study proposes a mathematical filtering framework that converts noisy Chinese financial news sentiment into reliable quantitative ...

Optoelectronic Synaptic Devices Using Molecular Telluride Phase‐Change Inks for Three‐Factor Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Optoelectronic synaptic devices based on solution‐processed molecular telluride GST‐225 phase‐change inks are demonstrated for three‐factor learning. A global optical signal broadcast through a silicon waveguide induces non‐volatile conductance updates exclusively in locally electrically flagged memristors.
