A fully flexible ion‐gel‐gated graphene‐channel transistor driven by a triboelectric nanogenerator enables self‐powered tactile sensing and synaptic learning. Mimicking spike‐rate‐dependent plasticity, the device exhibits frequency‐selective potentiation and depression, supporting rate‐coded neuromorphic computation even under flex.

Assembling a True “Olympic Gel” From over 16 000 Combinatorial DNA Rings
Olympic gels are an elusive class of soft matter, consisting of molecular networks held together purely by mechanically interlocked rings. Their topological structure promises unique properties and functions, but their synthesis has proven notoriously difficult.

The beta exponential distribution
Reliability Engineering and System Safety, 2006Abstract The exponential distribution is perhaps the most widely applied statistical distribution for problems in reliability. In this note, we introduce a generalization—referred to as the beta exponential distribution—generated from the logit of a beta random variable.

The gamma-exponentiated exponential distribution
Journal of Statistical Computation and Simulation, 2012In this paper, we introduce a new distribution generated by gamma random variables. We show that this distribution includes as a special case the distribution of the lower record value from a sequence of i.i.d. random variables from a population with the exponentiated (generalized) exponential distribution.

A Characterization of the Exponential Distribution
Calcutta Statistical Association Bulletin, 1994In this note we prove that the exponential distribution is characterized by the property [Formula: see text] where Y is a future observation and x 1 , x 2 ,…, x n are identical and independently distributed ...

THE LOMAX-EXPONENTIAL DISTRIBUTION
Far East Journal of Theoretical Statistics, 2015Summary: The exponential distribution is perhaps the most commonly used statistical distribution in reliability and the Lomax distribution is extensively studied with reference to order statistics. In this paper, we introduce a new statistical distribution constructed by combining the cumulative density function (cdf) of these two distributions and ...

The exponentiated Perks distribution
International Journal of System Assurance Engineering and Management, 2016The study proposes the exponentiated Perks distribution as a generalization of Perks distribution. This generalized distribution provides monotone nondecreasing and bathtub shaped hazard rate function. We study its mathematical properties including mode, median, quantile function and order statistics. The estimation of the model parameters is discussed

A Generalized Exponential Distribution
Biometrical Journal, 1987This paper discusses a new generalization of the exponential distribution. The distribution has its basis in the first emptiness time distribution of semi-infinite reservoir model. The distribution has two parameters, the additional parameter is such that both the mean and variance tend to increase with an increase in its value, but the variance ...
