The H and J functionals in the theory of complete exponential sums [PDF]
In this paper we introduce two nonlinear functionals, the H and J functional, in the theory of complete exponential sums.

Possible Divergences in Tsallis' Thermostatistics
Trying to compute the nonextensive q-partition function for the Harmonic Oscillator in more than two dimensions, one encounters that it diverges, which poses a serious threat to the whole of Tsallis' thermostatistics.

Ca2+‐mediated response to DMSO was investigated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae cells expressing Ca2+‐dependent aequorin. Cell exposure to DMSO induced a cytosolic Ca2+ wave dependent on the integrity of the Cch1/Mid1 channel. Deletion of KCS1 or VIP1 genes encoding the phosphoinositol pyrophosphate (PP‐IP) synthases suppressed the DMSO‐induced Ca2 ...

A Note on Schanuel's Conjectures for Exponential Logarithmic Power Series Fields
In [1], J. Ax proved a transcendency theorem for certain differential fields of characteristic zero: the differential counterpart of the still open Schanuel's conjecture about the exponential function over the field of complex numbers [11, page 30].

In human monocytic cells THP‐1, a limited uptake of native—not oxidized—LDL/VLDL induced expression of scavenger receptor A and cellular adhesion. Induction was inhibited by lysosomotropic (WR‐1065) and lipophilic (BHT) antioxidants and by siRNAs against ferritinophagy.

Solutions of fractional nabla difference equations - existence and uniqueness [PDF]
In this article, we discuss existence, uniqueness and dependency of solutions of nonlinear fractional nabla difference equations in a Banach space equipped with a suitable norm, using the contractive mapping approach. As an application of the established

On Transforming the Generalized Exponential Power Series [PDF]
We transformed the generalized exponential power series to another functional form suitable for further analysis. By applying the Cauchy-Euler differential operator in the form of an exponential operator, the series became a sum of exponential differential operators acting on a simple exponential (exp(-x).
