Zeros of smallest modulus of functions resembling exp(z)
To determine (in various senses) the zeros of the Laplace transform of a signed mass distribution is of great importance for many problems in classical analysis and number theory. For example, if the mass consists of finitely many atoms, the transform is

Fatigue Crack Initiation and Growth in Nanocrystalline Ni at Multiple Length‐Scales
Overview of miniaturized in situ SEM fatigue setup and resultant fatigue crack growth data for nanocrystalline Ni. The presented study focuses on the analysis of fatigue crack growth rate (FCGR) in focused ion beam‐notched microcantilevers prepared from nanocrystalline (NC) Ni as a model material.

Exponential Function: a proposal for mathematical tasks
The purpose of this work has been to propose mathematical tasks involving the exponential function using the GeoGebra software. Thus, it has been based on the discussion about mathematical tasks by João Pedro da Ponte and the Theory of Semiotic ...

Admissibility and Non-Uniform Dichotomy for Differential Systems
The problem of nonuniform exponential dichotomy of linear differential systems in Banach spaces is discussed. It is established a connection between the admissibility of a pair of certain function spaces which are translations invariant, on one hand ...

The Exponential Function: A Mathemagical Hub
The exponential function, including its real-and complex-values forms, constitutes one of the most important concepts in mathematics. In this work, the exponential function is approached in a progressive manner.

Creep‐Induced Microstructural Evolution in an A2‐B2 Superalloy
A 27.3Ta‐27.3Mo‐27.3Ti‐8Cr‐10Al (at.%) refractory high‐entropy alloy with precipitation‐strengthened A2‐B2 microstructure was studied by creep tests at 1030°C, which demonstrate a transition in deformation mechanisms in the range of 100–150 MPa applied stress. This is associated with changes in dislocation–precipitate interactions. Relevant deformation

Loss functions, utility functions and Bayesian sample size determination.
PhDThis thesis consists of two parts. The purpose of the first part of the research is to obtain Bayesian sample size determination (SSD) using loss or utility function with a linear cost function. A number of researchers have studied the Bayesian SSD

Creep Properties and Deformation Mechanism of Additively Manufactured NiAl‐CrMo Composites
Additively manufactured NiAl‐CrMo composites contain numerous interfaces and cell boundaries that control their creep response. At 700°C under high applied stress, creep is dominated by dislocation‐controlled power‐law mechanisms. At 800°C–900°C and lower stresses, creep is primarily diffusion‐controlled along cell boundaries.
