Degenerate exponential integral function and its properties
PurposeIn this paper, the author introduces a degenerate exponential integral function and further studies some of its analytical properties. The new function is a generalization of the classical exponential integral function and the properties established are analogous to those satisfied by the classical function.Design/methodology/approachThe methods

Sharp Exponential Integrability for Traces of Monotone Sobolev Functions [PDF]
AbstractWe answer a question posed in [12] on exponential integrability of functions of restricted n-energy. We use geometric methods to obtain a sharp exponential integrability result for boundary traces of monotone Sobolev functions defined on the unit ball.

Theoretical Foundations and Mathematical Formalism of the Power-Law Tailed Statistical Distributions
We present the main features of the mathematical theory generated by the √ κ-deformed exponential function expκ(x) = ( 1 + κ2x2 + κx)1/κ, with 0 ≤ κ < 1, developed in the last twelve years, which turns out to be a continuous one parameter deformation of ...

Concerning some integrals of the generalized exponential-integral function
The main concern of this study consists of generalising expressions applicable to the exponential integral of positive integer order to that of general real order. Associated moments connected with simple powers of the variable of integration are discussed along with the so-called polynomial moments in which such standard polynomials as that of ...

Logarithmic singularity subtraction for matrix‐friendly layered medium Green's functions
A subtraction procedure is proposed to evaluate the logarithmic singularity for matrix‐friendly layered medium Green's functions. In this subtraction procedure, an integral of the Bessel function combined with the exponential function and power function,

Explicit Formula of Koszul–Vinberg Characteristic Functions for a Wide Class of Regular Convex Cones
The Koszul–Vinberg characteristic function plays a fundamental role in the theory of convex cones. We give an explicit description of the function and related integral formulas for a new class of convex cones, including homogeneous cones and cones ...

Strong and weak admissibility of $L^\infty$ spaces
For a dynamics with continuous time, we consider the notion of a strong exponential dichotomy with respect to a family of norms and we characterize it in terms of the admissibility of bounded solutions.
