A Note on Reverse Minkowski Inequality via Generalized Proportional Fractional Integral Operator with respect to Another Function

open access: yesMathematical Problems in Engineering, 2020
This study reveals new fractional behavior of Minkowski inequality and several other related generalizations in the frame of the newly proposed fractional operators.

Besov functions and vanishing exponential integrability

open access: yesIllinois Journal of Mathematics, 2003
The main result of the paper reads as follows. There is a number \(\beta >0\) such that for all elements \(u \in B^s_{pq} (\mathbb{R}^n)\) of the indicated Besov spaces with \(1< p,q < \infty\) and \(sp=n\), \[ \lim_{r \to 0} r^{-n} \int\limits_{| x-x^0| \leq r} \left[ \exp \left( \beta | u(x) - u(x^0)| ^{1/q'} \right) - 1 \right] \, dx =0 \] for all \(

Certain integrals involving logarithmic and exponential functions [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1993
In this paper we have evaluated the integrals urn:x-wiley:01611712:media:ijmm603126:ijmm603126-math-0001 and urn:x-wiley:01611712:media:ijmm603126:ijmm603126-math-0002 for all n = 1, 2, 3, …. Some applications of the results are discussed and an open problem is posed.

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

On classical and semiclassical properties of the Liouville theory with defects

open access: yes, 2015
The Lagrangian of the Liouville theory with topological defects is analyzed in detail and general solution of the corresponding defect equations of motion is found.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Functions of linear operators: Parameter differentiation

open access: yes, 1999
We derive a useful expression for the matrix elements $[\frac{\partial f[A(t)]}{\partial t}]_{i j}$ of the derivative of a function $f[A(t)]$ of a diagonalizable linear operator $A(t)$ with respect to the parameter $t$. The function $f[A(t)]$ is supposed

β‐TrCP overexpression enhances cisplatin sensitivity by depleting BRCA1

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Low levels of β‐TrCP (Panel A) allow the accumulation of BRCA1 and CtIP, which facilitate the repair of cisplatin‐induced DNA damage via homologous recombination (HR) and promote tumor cell survival. In contrast, high β‐TrCP expression (Panel B) leads to BRCA1 and CtIP degradation, impairing HR repair, resulting in persistent DNA damage and apoptosis ...

Approximate solution of linear Volterra-Fredholm integral equations via exponential spline function

open access: yesJournal of Innovative Applied Mathematics and Computational Sciences
This paper presents a novel numerical scheme for solving linear Volterra-Fredholm integral equations (V-FIEs) of the second kind, utilizing exponential spline functions (ESFs) in combination with fractional derivatives.
