High‐Temperature Oxidation of the CrFeNi Medium‐Entropy Alloy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The oxidation behavior of equiatomic CrFeNi MEA is a key issue that determines this material's suitability for high‐temperature application. The understanding of long‐term behavior is even more crucial than short‐term corrosion effects. The alloy is exposed to synthetic air at 1000, 1050, and 1100 °C for 24, 100, and 1000 h and systematically compared ...

Stability of Exponential Functional Equations with Involutions

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2014
Let S be a commutative semigroup if not otherwise specified and f:S→ℝ. In this paper we consider the stability of exponential functional equations |f(x+σ(y))-g(x)f(y)|≤ϕ(x) or  ϕ(y), |f(x+σ(y))-f(x)g(y)|≤ϕ(x) or ϕ(y) for all x,y∈S and where σ:S→S is an ...

Investigation of Oxide Dispersion Strengthening Effect on the Strength of Diffusion‐Bonded AISI304 Parts

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Experiments for reinforcing the diffusion bonding plane by the oxide dispersion strengthening effect are presented. Small ceramic particles (0.5 and 50 μm, respectively) are incorporated. Furthermore, ceramic particles help to penetrate stable passivation layers, enabling atomic diffusion across bonding planes. Since a ceramic–metallic interface cannot

Machine Learning‐Based Design of 3D‐Printable Microneedles for Enhanced Tissue Anchoring with Reduced Tissue Damage

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A machine learning‐driven framework is introduced to optimize 3D‐printable microneedles for enhanced tissue anchoring and reduced insertion damage. The optimized design achieves a 6.0‐fold improvement in pull‐out‐to‐penetration energy ratio over conventional shapes.

Stabilization of a Class of Stochastic Systems with Time Delays

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2014
The problem of exponential stability is investigated for a class of stochastic time-delay systems. By using the decomposition technique and Lyapunov stability theory, two improved exponential stability criteria are derived.

Exploring Dipolar Dynamics and Ionic Transport in Metal‐Organic Frameworks: Experimental and Theoretical Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the interplay of dipolar dynamics and ionic charge transport in MOF compounds is investigated. Synthesizing the novel structure CFA‐25 with integrated freely rotating dipolar groups, local and macroscopic effects, including interactions with Cs cations are explored.

Nano‐Patterned CuO Nanowire Nanogap Hydrogen Gas Sensor with Voids

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 12, March 18, 2025.
Sub‐5‐ppb hydrogen (H2) detection and sub‐10‐s response and recovery times are achieved based on nano‐patterned polycrystalline CuO nanowires nanogap gas sensors with voids using electron‐beam lithography and unique annealing processes. Pre‐H2 annealing, void‐generating oxidation, and downscaled nanogap electrodes are key to improving the sensing ...

Linearization and exponential stability

open access: yes, 2014
We give sufficient conditions such that the exponential stability of the linearization of a non-linear system implies that the non-linear system is (locally) exponentially stable. One of these conditions is that the non-linear system is Fr chet differential at the equilibrium, if it is only Gateaux differentiable, then we show by means of an example ...

Exponential stability for linear evolutionary equations [PDF]

open access: yesAsymptotic Analysis, 2013
We give an approach to exponential stability within the framework of evolutionary equations due to Picard [Math. Methods Appl. Sci. 32(14) (2009), 1768–1803]. We derive sufficient conditions for exponential stability in terms of the material law operator which is defined via an analytic and bounded operator-valued function and give an estimate for the

Ultrahigh Piezoelectricity in Truss‐Based Ferroelectric Ceramics Metamaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 12, March 18, 2025.
By leveraging the unique combination of polarization direction and loading state, ultrahigh piezoelectricity is achieved through careful tuning of the relative density and scaling ratio in truss‐based ferroelectric metamaterials. This approach enables the simultaneous realization of extremely high piezoelectric constants and ultralow dielectric ...
