Discrete Razumikhin-type technique and stability of the Euler-Maruyama method to stochastic functional differential equations

open access: yes, 2013
A discrete stochastic Razumikhin-type theorem is established to investigate whether the Euler--Maruyama (EM) scheme can reproduce the moment exponential stability of exact solutions of stochastic functional differential equations (SFDEs).

Numerical simulation of a linear stochastic oscillator with additive noise [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The ability of numerical methods to reproduce long-time features of a linear stochastic oscillator is examined. It is shown that certain, widely-used, methods fail to capture the correct second moment growth rate, whereas a customized extension of the ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Mean square asymptotic stability characterisation of perturbed linear stochastic functional differential equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
In this paper we investigate the mean square asymptotic stability of a perturbed scalar linear stochastic functional differential equation. Specifically, we are able to give necessary and sufficient conditions on the forcing terms for convergence of the ...

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

Stability of Stochastic Reaction-Diffusion Recurrent Neural Networks with Unbounded Distributed Delays

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2011
Stability of reaction-diffusion recurrent neural networks (RNNs) with continuously distributed delays and stochastic influence are considered. Some new sufficient conditions to guarantee the almost sure exponential stability and mean square exponential ...

Elevated Connectivity During Language Processing Is Associated With Cognitive Performance in SeLECTS

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Self‐Limited Epilepsy with Centrotemporal Spikes (SeLECTS) is associated with language impairments despite seizures originating in the motor cortex, suggesting aberrant cross‐network interactions. Here we tested whether functional connectivity in SeLECTS during language tasks predicts language performance.

EXPONENTIAL STABILITY CONTROL FOR NETWORKED SYSTEMS WITH INTERVAL DISTRIBUTION TIME DELAYS [PDF]

open access: yesActa Informatica Malaysia, 2018
To study the problem of exponential stability control for a class of networked control systems with interval distribution time delays, a new approach is given to model the networked control systems with the stochastic time delays which is assumed to be
