Stochastic modelling of earthquake interoccurrence times in Northwest Himalaya and adjoining regions
This work concentrates on the distribution of earthquake interevent times in northwest Himalaya and its adjacent regions. We consider 12 time-dependent probability distributions for analysis.

A novel extended Gumbel Type II model with statistical inference and Covid-19 applications
Statistical models play an important role in data analysis, and statisticians are constantly looking for new or relatively new statistical models to fit data sets across a wide range of fields.

This study presents a novel suite of discrete trigonometric Burr–Hatke distributions, encompassing the discrete tangent Burr–Hatke (DTBH), discrete sine Burr–Hatke (DSBH), discrete cosine Burr–Hatke (DCBH), and discrete type II tangent Burr–Hatke (DTIITBH) distributions to model count data with overdispersion and right‐skewed characteristics commonly ...

Secant Unit Gompertz Quantile Regression for Modeling Bounded Endogenous Variables
Modeling data that falls within the [0,1] domain is a huge task in most scientific disciplines. This is because most classical distributions do not address the issues of complex data shapes as well as managing the dynamism of extreme quantiles. The study thus developed the secant‐based extension of the unit Gompertz distribution; this distribution is a

Modeling COVID-19 Data with a Novel Extended Exponentiated Class of Distributions
The COVID-19 epidemic has affected every aspect of daily life since December 2019 and caused massive damage to the world. The coronavirus epidemic has affected more than 150 countries around the world. Many researchers have tried to develop a statistical

This study introduces a new flexible family of continuous probability distributions, termed the generalized flexible family, developed for the effective modeling of cancer data. The proposed family extends the recently introduced new flexible generalized family by incorporating an additional shape parameter to enhance flexibility in capturing various ...

The Extended Exponentiated Weibull Distribution and its Applications
In this paper, we introduce a univariate four-parameter distribution. Several known distributions like exponentiated Weibull or extended generalized exponential distribution can be obtained as special case of this distribution. The new distribution is quite flexible and can be used quite effectively in analysing survival or reliability data.
