Topology‐Enriched Toughness Enhancement in Quasi‐Periodic Metastructures Featuring Tailorable Strong‐Weak Network

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A quasi‐periodic Dart‐Kite (QDK) metastructure with a golden‐ratio‐constrained strong–weak bond network simultaneously enhances strength, toughness, and damage tolerance. Its distributed topology enables predictable, tailorable crack paths for precise fracture control and stable mechanics, demonstrating a high‐performance, controllable architecture ...

Trade restrictions with imported intermediate inputs : when does the trade balance improve? [PDF]

open access: yes
The author's model demonstrates that when imports are predominantly intermediate inputs - as they are in most developing countries - import restrictions can not always be relied upon to improve the trade balance.

Marshall-lerner condition analysis: Turkey case [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Marshall-Lerner (ML) condition is a phenomenon that describes increase in net exports through depreciation of domestic currency. When the sum of export and import elasticities are greater than unity, the ML condition states that a deficit in the trade

Drug‐Induced Cuproptosis Defines the Therapeutic Window of Celecoxib in Intervertebral Disc Degeneration via the HSP90‐RBX1 Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals the dual role of celecoxib in intervertebral disc degeneration. While low concentrations are protective, high concentrations induce toxicity by upregulating HSP90, which synergizes with USP15 to deubiquitinate and stabilize RBX1. This leads to degradation of COMMD1/ATP7B, copper dyshomeostasis, and ultimately, cuproptosis.

Assessing Mesoscale Heterogeneities in Hard Carbon Electrodes Through Deep Learning‐Assisted FIB‐SEM Characterization, Manufacturing and Electrochemical Modeling

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A combination of discrete and finite element method models for the current collector deformation and electrochemical performance analysis, respectively. The models are calibrated and validated with electrochemical and imaging data of hard carbon electrodes. These electrodes were manufactured with different parameters (slurry solid contents of 35 and 40
