Mechanical Activation of Piezo1 Drives Osteoarthritis Through Kdm5c‐Mediated Epigenetic Silencing
Excessive mechanical stress activates Piezo1, triggering Ca2+‐dependent cytoskeletal forces that deform the nucleus and reduce H3K4me3. Kdm5c demethylates H3K4me3 at Col2a1 and Runx3 promoters. Kdm5c knockout rescues degradation. Repurposed telmisartan directly inhibits Kdm5c, blocking this axis and showing disease‐modifying efficacy in mouse OA models

The balance between nuclear import and export of NLRC5 regulates MHC class I transactivation
Major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecules play an essential role in regulating the adaptive immune system by presenting antigens to CD8 T cells. CITA (MHC class I transactivator), also known as NLRC5 (NLR family, CARD domain-containing 5), regulates the expression of MHC class I and essential components involved in the MHC class I ...

Radiotherapy triggers LTβR N‐glycosylation, enhancing its overall protein stability and nuclear retention. This accumulation drives TRIM28‐mediated PCBP2 SUMOylation, suppressing pyroptosis and conferring gastric cancer radioresistance. Therapeutically, a targeted nanoplatform (cRGD‐Lipo@EMD) effectively disrupts this regulatory axis, offering a highly

Effects of Trade Liberalization on Exports, Imports and Trade Balance in Pakistan: A Time Series Analysis [PDF]
Using time series data, the paper empirically analyzes the effects of trade liberalization on exports, imports and trade balance in Pakistan for the period 1981/82 to 2007/08. It concludes that trade liberalization stimulates both exports and imports with the effect being greater on latter than on former thereby worsening the trade balance.

This study identifies C4 as a lead inhibitor of the Lpt system. Notably, C4 potentiates colistin activity by disrupting LPS transport and remodeling phospholipid homeostasis, revealing a functional interplay between the Lpt and Mla systems. These findings establish a mechanistic link between Lpt inhibition and membrane lipid remodeling, positioning Lpt–

Radioresistance arises partly from tumor cells evading cuproptosis via unknown defenses. This study reveals that the PRMT5‐VPS34 axis acts as a radiation‐activated anticuproptotic mechanism: PRMT5 methylates VPS34 at Arg174, recruiting USP10 to remove K48‐linked ubiquitination and prevent degradation.

Depression is increasingly recognized as a risk factor for chronic diseases, yet its biological impact on cancer remains unclear. Using data from more than 490 000 participants across three international cohorts, we show that depression significantly increases the risk of liver cancer.

In sepsis‐induced liver injury, marked neutrophil infiltration correlates with disease severity. Neutrophil SLC11A1 drives intracellular Fe2+ and ROS via the Fenton reaction, promoting NETs formation. Hepatocyte‐derived CXCL10 recruits neutrophils and activates the JAK/STAT1/SLC11A1 axis, enhancing NETs‐mediated inflammation.
