A 3D‐printed piezoionic GPMx hydrogel enables stable electromechanical signal generation under mechanical loading, exhibiting long‐term durability and low fatigue. As a bioactive patch, it restores endogenous bioelectricity to stimulate osteogenesis via Ca2+ influx and mitochondrial activation, while simultaneously enabling label‐free alkaline ...

Did export promotion help firms weather the crisis? National Bank of Belgium Working Paper No. 291 [PDF]
In the global recession of 2009, exports declined precipitously in many countries. We illustrate with firm-level data for Belgium and Peru that the decline was very sudden and almost entirely due to lower export sales by existing exporters.

Microfluidic coaxial extrusion generates size‐controlled 3D lymphatic tubes from primary human dermal lymphatic endothelial cells in a defined four‐component matrix. These engineered vessels self‐organize into stable lymphatic endothelium, maintain selective macromolecular permeability for 30 days, and enable direct comparison with blood endothelial ...

Matrix Stiffness Directs Stemness Signatures in Breast Cancer
We built lab‐grown breast cancer models to study how the stiffness of the tumor's surroundings influences cancer behavior. Softer environments encouraged more stem‐like, drug‐resistant cells, while stiffer ones kept cells more differentiated. These findings show that tissue mechanics drive cancer diversity and drug resistance, offering new insights for

Import Quotas, Export Promotion and Intra-Industry Trade [PDF]
Most existing models of protection-induced exports, as well as models of intra-industry trade (IIT), are based on imperfect competition in both the home and foreign countries, usually with increasing returns to scale.
