Exposure Dose Measurements

Physics in Medicine and Biology, 1962
Discussion is given on structures put upon a previous article, Greene, Massey, and Meredith, Phys. Med. Biol., 6: exposure dose in a phantom, by others. Discrepancies are noted and evaluated. (P.C.H.)

Doses from radiation exposure

Annals of the ICRP, 2012
Practical implementation of the International Commission on Radiological Protection's (ICRP) system of protection requires the availability of appropriate methods and data. The work of Committee 2 is concerned with the development of reference data and methods for the assessment of internal and external radiation exposure of workers and members of the

Exposure and dose in panoramic radiology

Medical Physics, 1998
Panoramic radiology entrance skin exposure (ESE) was measured for a Siemens Orthopantomograph 10 E using a thimble chamber and TLDs. Thimble chamber measurements are shown to be inaccurate for the moving, narrow beam panoramic scan geometry due to partial volume and partial charged‐particle equilibrium effects.

Statistical models for low dose exposure

Mutation Research - Fundamental and Molecular Mechanisms of Mutagenesis, 1998
Extrapolation of health risks from high to low doses has received a considerable amount of attention in carcinogenic risk assessment over decades. Fitting statistical dose-response models to experimental data collected at high doses and use of the fitted model for estimating effects at low doses lead to quite different risk predictions. Dissatisfaction
