Evaluation of Exposure Dose for Panoramic Radiography

Japanese Journal of Radiological Technology, 2009
There is no established method to determine a diagnostic reference level of panoramic radiology. As the basic principle of the panoramic radiology dose index (PRDI) and CT dose index (CTDI) is almost identical, we evaluated the usefulness of PRDI for this purpose.Using the imaging plate (IP) sandwiched between the 160-mm thick acrylic disks, horizontal

Exposure Dose Measurements in Megavoltage Therapy

Physics in Medicine and Biology, 1962
Arguments are presented to show that an ionization chamber in a scattering medium measures the exposure dose at its own center provided it is at a depth sufficient to be on the exponential part of the depth dose curve. The minimum depth for the establishment of electron equilibrium is defined.

Robustness of modelled ozone exposures and doses

Environmental Pollution, 2007
This study evaluates the robustness of the AOTX and AF(st)Y indices for assessing the ozone-induced risk to vegetation. These indices represent the accumulated concentration and stomatal flux, respectively, above a threshold value. The robustness is expressed as the sensitivity to changes in inputs and the uncertainty due to input errors.

Biomarkers of Exposure and Dose: State of the Art

Radiation Protection Dosimetry, 2001
Biomarkers provide methods to measure changes in biological systems and to relate them to environmental insults and disease processes. Biomarkers can be classified as markers of exposure and dose, markers of sensitivity, and markers of disease.

Dose level of occupational exposure in China

Radiation Protection Dosimetry, 2007
This paper discusses the dose level of Chinese occupational exposures during 1986-2000. Data on occupational exposures from the main categories in nuclear fuel cycle (uranium enrichment and conversion, fuel fabrication, reactor operation, waste management and research activity, except for uranium mining and milling because of the lack of data), medical
