Comparative multi‐omics in female mice reveals tissue‐specific vulnerabilities to chronic alcohol intake

open access: yesAlcohol, Clinical and Experimental Research, Volume 50, Issue 2, February 2026.
Using mice, we applied multi‐omics to compare liver and skeletal muscle after chronic alcohol consumption. The liver responded more strongly across genes, proteins, and metabolites, with a lowered PC:PE ratio. Muscle showed inflammation, extracellular matrix activation, impaired mitochondrial energetics, and an elevated PC:PE ratio. Lipidomics affected

Advanced Paternal Age Impacts Common Loci in the Sperm and Placenta DNA Methylomes

open access: yesAndrology, Volume 14, Issue 2, Page 528-544, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Epidemiological studies have reported an association between advanced paternal age at conception and an increased risk of neurodevelopmental disorders in offspring, such as autism spectrum disorder. Evidence suggests that DNA methylation alterations in spermatozoa of older men may be transmitted to the feto‐placental unit and ...

Effects of Seating Arrangements on Parliamentary Collaborations

open access: yesLegislative Studies Quarterly, Volume 51, Issue 1, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Does parliamentary seating affect parliamentary behavior? In this paper, we dig into the question of whether spatial proximity affects the behavior of elected representatives. Using data from the 50th legislative period of the Swiss parliament and an inferential network model, we estimate the effects of different operationalizations of seating

Molecular Mechanism of ZjWRKY40‐zju‐miR157 Module Regulating Phytoplasma Tolerance in Jujube

open access: yesMolecular Plant Pathology, Volume 27, Issue 2, February 2026.
SJP4JWB regulated the ZjWRKY40‐zju‐miR157 module to modulate the differential phytoplasma tolerance between phytoplasma‐susceptible genotype Fu and phytoplasma‐tolerant genotype T13. ABSTRACT Phytoplasma (‘Candidatus Phytoplasma’), a bacterial pathogen, is a significant plant health concern worldwide, resulting in substantial economic losses. In jujube

Natural Variation of a PPR Coding Gene SST1 Confers Salt Tolerance During Soybean Domestication

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, Volume 24, Issue 2, Page 831-855, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Soil salinity is one of the constraints that adversely affect seedling growth and limit soybean yield. Identifying salt tolerance genes and profiling their allele variants are crucial for elucidating the mechanisms underlying salt tolerance in soybean and enabling the genetic improvement of salt‐tolerant cultivars.
