This paper studies Radhakrishnan-Kundu-Laksmannan equation which is used to describe the pulse propagation in optical fiber communications. By using improved modified extended tanh-function method various types of solutions are extracted such as bright solitons, singular solitons, singular periodic wave solutions, Jacobi elliptic solutions, periodic ...

A New Generalization of Extended Tanh-Function Method for Solving Nonlinear Evolution Equations
Communications in Theoretical Physics, 2003Making use of a new generalized ansatze and a proper transformation, we generalized the extended tanh-function method. Applying the generalized method with the aid of Maple, we consider some nonlinear evolution equations. As a result, we can successfully recover the previously known solitary wave solutions that had been found by the extended tanh ...

The Extended Tanh Function Method for the Kink Patterns Solutions of the Kundu Equation
2010 International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Software Engineering, 2010In this paper, by introducing some appropriate transformation, we study explicit exact ravelling wave solutions for the Kundu equation by using the extended tanh function method. Thus, some new exact travelling wave solutions, which contain kink patterns solutions, solitary solutions and periodic solutions are obtained.

The modified extended tanh-function method for solving Burgers-type equations
Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 2006Abstract By means of the modified extended tanh-function (METF) method the multiple travelling wave solutions of some different kinds of nonlinear partial differential equations are presented and implemented in a computer algebraic system. Solutions for the nonlinear equations such as one-dimensional Burgers, KDV–Burgers, coupled Burgers and two ...

In this paper, with the variable separation approach and based on the general reduction theory, we successfully generalize this extended tanh-function method to obtain new types of variable separation solutions for the following Nizhnik?Novikov?Veselov (NNV) equation.

Extended Complex tanh-Function Method and Exact Solutions to (2+1)-Dimensional Hirota Equation
Communications in Theoretical Physics, 2007Summary: In this paper, a new extended complex tanh-function method is presented for constructing traveling wave, non-traveling wave, and coefficient functions' soliton-like solutions of nonlinear equations. This method is more powerful than the complex tanh-function method [\textit{S. A. Khuri}, Chaos Solitons Fractals 20, No. 5, 1037--1040 (2004; Zbl
