Abstract The Extended UNIQUAC model has previously been used to describe the excess Gibbs energy for aqueous electrolyte mixtures. It is an electrolyte model formed by combining the original UNIQUAC model, the Debye–Huckel law and the Soave–Redlich–Kwong equation of state.

Modification of the extended uniquac model for correlating quaternary liquid—liquid equilibrium data
Fluid Phase Equilibria, 1990Abstract The extended UNIQUAC model with binary and ternary parameters is modified to include additional quaternary parameters for correlating quaternary liquid—liquid equilibrium data. The quaternary parameters are due to unlike four-body interaction. These parameter-containing terms vanish whenever the quaternary degenerates to a ternary.

Abstract In predicting the liquid-liquid equilibria of ternary mixtures using common excess Gibbs free energy models with only binary parameters, the inaccuracy of prediction has been observed in many cases. A thermodynamic method to overcome this problem is presented here.

Isothermal excess Gibbs energy and excess enthalpy data for 29 binary non-ideal systems have been well reproduced by means of the extended UNIQUAC model with temperature-dependent parameters. The temperature dependence of the energy parameters is given by a quadratic function of temperature. Calculated results show that the extended UNIQUAC model works

Abstract An extended UNIQUAC-Debye-Huckel model is used to predict vapour-liquid equilibria for nitric acid-water-nitrate salt systems over the whole concentration range. Both phase equilibria and chemical equilibria (acid-base dissociation and acid self-dissociation) are taken into account.

Aqueous two phase systems (ATPS), consisting of two incompatible aqueous solutions, are widely used in biological extraction. In recent years, many experimental studies on the phase behavior of ionic liquid(IL)–inorganic salt ATPS systems have been reported but few investigations of the thermodynamics of the IL-based ATPS have been reported.

Naturally occurring gas hydrates are of great importance as a strategic energy source. Hydrates affect coastal sediment stability, global climate change, and ocean carbon cycling. It is vital to understand the thermodynamic conditions of gas hydrates to control/manage and inhibit hydrate formation.

Thermodynamic modeling of the binary systems Ni(NO3)2–H2O and Ni(NO3)2–H2O and of the ternary system of Fe(NO3)3–Ni(NO3)2–H2O along the 30 °C isotherm are presented. The extended UNIQUAC model was applied for the thermodynamic assessment of the investigated systems, the model parameters were regressed simultaneously using the available databank but ...
