The author studies some properties of domains admitting extension operators being bounded with respect to the \(L^2\)-norm of the gradient. His results are applied to some problems of homogenizations of perforated domains.

Current Protocols in Molecular Biology, 1992
AbstractThis protocol can be used to map the 5' terminus of an RNA and to quantitate the amount of a given RNA by extending a primer using reverse transcriptase. The primer is an oligonucleotide (or restriction fragment) that is complementary to a portion of the RNA of interest.

Geometriae Dedicata, 1998
The paper introduces fourgonal extensions as special cases of fourgonal families. Fourgonal families provide an algebraic description of a certain class of generalized quadrangles. The author proves that two fourgonal extensions describe the same generalised quadrangle if and only if the fourgonal extensions are isomorphic.

Reconstruction of elbow extension is an established treatment with a high degree of patient satisfaction. The D-T transfer is the most common method and has the advantage of inducing no serious complications; however, it necessitates a long period of healing and recovery.

Lua—An Extensible Extension Language
Software: Practice and Experience, 1996This paper describes Lua, a language for extending applications. Lua combines procedural features with powerful data description facilities, by using a simple, yet powerful, mechanism of tables . This mechanism implements the concepts of records, arrays and recursive data types (pointers), and adds some object-oriented facilities, such as methods with ...

Primer extension can be viewed as a technique complementary to S1 nuclease mapping (see Chapter 43). In Sl nuclease mapping analysis, a DNA:RNA hybrid is resected back to the point of divergence between the RNA and the DNA. In primer extension, a DNA probe is annealed to an RNA template and then extended in a 3';- 5'; direction to the start of the RNA ...
