Software complex for simulation of internal and external ballistics of artillery shot

International Conference on Military Technologies (ICMT) 2015, 2015
The work is devoted to development of software complex for simulation of artillery shot, which includes calculation module, input and output data, modules of scientific graphics and 3D visualization. Mathematical models of internal and external ballistics of artillery shot are shown.

Reduced Order Method Applied to Optimization of External Ballistics

Volume 5: Dynamics, Vibration, and Control
Abstract This study explores the application of Reduced Order Methods (ROM) in external ballistics, a domain traditionally less focused on than terminal ballistics. The primary objective is to evaluate the effectiveness of ROM in decreasing computational times during the design of modern Direct Fire Control Systems (DFCS).

Ballistics and anatomical modelling – A review

open access: yesLegal Medicine, 2016
Ballistics is the study of a projectiles motion and can be broken down into four stages: internal, intermediate, external and terminal ballistics. The study of the effects a projectile has on a living tissue is referred to as wound ballistics and falls ...

EXTERNAL BALLISTICS: PARAMETER ESTIMATION USING POD-RBF

open access: yesBallistics 2025
When studying the dynamics of a bullet’s trajectory, multiple variable effects can be measured to attain predictive depiction of the bullet’s behavior. Much of this data has been studied and tested with proven success of limited predictive value. The goal of this paper is to create a reliable model for estimating the trend of how the speed of the ...

External ballistic of volcanic explosions [PDF]

open access: possibleBulletin Volcanologique, 1983
In order to determine the kinetic energy of an explosion it is necessary to know the initial velocities of ejected fragments. Calculations of initial velocities made earlier with few exceptions did not take into account the resistance of the air and therefore, greatly underestimated the initial velocities, and consequently the energy of the explosions.
