On the extinction angle in polymer solutions at high rate gradients
The two-member asimptotics of the extinction angle in the shear laminar flow of suspension of rigid ellipsoidal particles have been derived for high rate gradients of the flow. The condition of applicability of the higher-order member is determined.

An asymmetric sulfonate solvent forms thermally stable interphases and demonstrates non‐flammability, suppressing heat accumulation for safer, high‐performance lithium‐ion batteries. ABSTRACT An asymmetric sulfonate‐based linear solvent, 2,2,2‐trifluoromethyl mesylate (FMS), is designed and used as the primary solvent in liquid electrolytes to enhance ...

Controlled Pt–Pt fine structure in square‐planar Pt(II) complexes governs metal–metal‐to‐ligand charge‐transfer (MMLCT) state formation, exciton dynamics, and organic light‐emitting diode performance. Short Pt–Pt contacts in Pt(fppz)2 enable coherent metal–metal coupling, sub‐microsecond emission and an external quantum efficiency of 29%, whereas ...

Cavity‐Enhanced Eye‐Readable Detection of 0.1% H2 via Active Modulation of Charge‐Transfer Plasmons
A cavity‐structured nanoparticle sensor is developed for highly sensitive, eye‐readable hydrogen detection. Its excellent colorimetric response arises from a hydrogen‐induced charge‐transfer mechanism: reduction of the dielectric oxide shell in H2 triggers a transition from the plasmonic gap mode to the charge‐transfer plasmon mode.

Optimized freeze‐drying and eosin staining deliver artifact‐free micro‐CT images of liver tissue at near‐histological detail, then hand the same specimen back for sectioning, staining, and sequencing. Fibrotic volume distinguishes normal liver from cirrhosis, while preserved RNA reveals inflammatory gene upregulation—one biopsy, three dimensions, and a

An investigation of the relationship between rate of responding during and acquisition and resistance to experimental extinction. [PDF]
Includes bibliographical references. The aim of the present series of experiments was to show that a direct relationship exists between two measures of response strength- rate of responding and resistance to extinction.

Disorder Driven Anisotropic Nonlinear Hall Effect in the Kagome Metal YbCo6Ge6 at Room Temperature
The intrinsic structural disorder and short‐range correlated motifs in the kagome metal YbCo6Ge6 constitute the primary mechanism for a robust and anisotropic nonlinear Hall effect (NLHE). This effect is sustained across a wide temperature range, achieving a nonlinear responsivity of up to ∼4.5 × 10−3 m/V at 70 K, higher than known disordered and ...

Switchable narrow nonlocal conducting polymer plasmonics
Dynamically switchable surface plasmons in conducting polymers constitute an emerging route towards intelligent metasurfaces, but polymer plasmons have so far suffered from weak resonances with low quality factors (Q
