Production of extracellular lactase fromFusarium moniliforme
European Journal of Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology, 1981A strain ofFusarium moniliforme, previously used for microbial protein production, excreted lactase (β-D-galactosidase, EC.3.2.1 23) when cultivated either in a whey liquid medium or on a wheat bran solid medium. The enzyme produced in both media had pH and temperature optima of 4–5 and 50–60°C respectively and was particularly suitable for processing ...

Extracellular Protease Production by B. Amyloliquefaciens
1987B. amyloliquefaciens produces large amounts of two major secretory proteases: alkaline protease and neutral protease. Protease production by this organism is very unusual in its response to inhibitors of transcription. Using the antibiotics rifampicin and actinomycin D, which block transcription, we have demonstrated the presence of an apparent mRNA ...

Extracellular products from Chlorococcum ellipsoideum and Chlamydomonas globosa
Archiv fr Mikrobiologie, 1972Extracellular products of Chlorococcum and Chlamydomonas were isolated from culture filtrates. Five groups of substances were found in both species: (i) steam-volatile acids, (ii) yellow water-soluble phenolic compounds, (iii) lipophilic substances, (iv) proteins and (v) polysaccharides.

[Extracellular-superoxide dismutase production in mesangial cell growing in extracellular matrix].
Nihon Jinzo Gakkai shi, 2005To study the protective function against oxygen radicals in the mesangial area, we assessed extracellular superoxide dismutase (EC-SOD) production in mesangial cells (MCs) in vitro. These cells have a major protective function against oxygen radicals in the extracellular space.
