Super‐Resolution Ultrasound Based Cell Tracking With Polymeric Nanobubbles
This study presents a super‐resolution ultrasound platform for tracking cells in vivo. Biocompatible polymeric nanobubbles are used as highly echogenic intracellular labels. Following the injection of cells and microbubbles, ultrasound localization microscopy (ULM) can dynamically match the microvascular architecture and individual cell trajectories ...

E. coli Extracellular Matrix: A Tunable Composite With Hierarchical Structure
The complex composite‐like mechanical behavior of E. coli biofilm matrix is the result of a synergic contribution of the rigid curli and swelling pEtN‐cellulose, and emerges from specific ratio and assembly conditions. The interactions between the two fibers govern biofilm hydration and characteristic wrinkling patterns, providing crucial insights for ...

This work presents soft, degradable hydrogel microcarriers that combine magnetic responsiveness with the ability to host multiple therapeutic and cellular components. Produced by droplet microfluidics, the carriers maintain structural integrity during manipulation, permit controlled breakdown under physiological conditions, and enable guided motion for

This project developed a smart bandage‐like patch (a microneedle array) for repairing diabetic bone damage. It intelligently senses signals from infection and inflammation, then releases its medicines in a specific, timed sequence: first an antibacterial agent, then an anti‐inflammatory agent, and finally growth factors.

Magnetic particles are organized into layered architectures by combining shear flow and magnetic fields, with the resulting structures governed by appropriate Mason numbers. The programmed assemblies provide spatial guidance for cell placement, linking field‐controlled self‐assembly, flow‐induced structuring and biological organization.

Cell Adhesion by Design: Engineering Tissue Culture Scaffolds With Adhesion Cues
ABSTRACT In scaffold‐based tissue engineering, the matrix should provide adequate adhesion cues for cell attachment, spreading, and function. Given the multitude of adhesion receptors and the diversity of scaffolds, there are many approaches to render scaffolds adhesive, even though they are not all equivalent.

Alarmins of the extracellular space
Seminars in Immunology, 2018The ability of the immune system to discriminate between healthy-self, abnormal-self, and non-self has been attributed mainly to alarmins signaling as "danger signals". It is now evident, however, that alarmins are much more complex and can perform specialized functions that can regulate a wide spectrum of processes ranging from propagation of disease ...

The extracellular space of the lens
Experimental Eye Research, 1965The extracellular space of rat, rabbit and calf lenses has been estimated in vitro using radioactive non-metabolized carbohydrates and 24Na as test substances. The size of the extracellular space ranges from 4 to 13% of the lens water, depending on the test substance used.

Selective Radioprotection in Extracellular Space
Radiology, 1974Most radioprotective agents are not discriminatory as they can protect both tumor and healthy tissue. The effects of radioprotective agents on radiation-induced free radicals in the extracellular ground substance were investigated by ESR spectroscopy.
