Comparison of ultrasound and extracorporeal shock wave therapy in lateral epicondylosis

open access: yesActa Orthopaedica et Traumatologica Turcica, 2018
Objective The aim of this study was to compare the efficacy of extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) and therapeutic ultrasound (US) in the treatment of lateral epicondylosis (LE). Methods Our study enrolled 50 patients with LE.

Prognostic Factors for Postoperative Complications. An Aggregate Protocol for 10 Observational Studies From the Danish TRIPLE‐A Cohort of 1.2 Million Surgeries

open access: yesActa Anaesthesiologica Scandinavica, Volume 70, Issue 7, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Postoperative complications substantially increase morbidity, mortality and healthcare costs. Understanding prognostic factors is essential for risk stratification, targeted prevention strategies, and development of prediction models.

Efficacy of extracorporeal shock wave therapy for knee tendinopathies and other soft tissue disorders: a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials

open access: yesBMC Musculoskeletal Disorders, 2018
BackgroundExtracorporeal shock-wave therapy (ESWT), which can be divided into radial shock-wave therapy (RaSWT) and focused shock-wave therapy (FoSWT), has been widely used in clinical practice for managing orthopedic conditions.

eNOS Uncoupling, Shear‐Stress Tolerance, and the Two‐Threshold Model of Post‐Exertional Malaise in Long COVID: A Mechanistic Hypothesis With Implications for Physiotherapy and Recovery Protocols

open access: yesMicrocirculation, Volume 33, Issue 6, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective To propose and make testable a mechanistic hypothesis for post‐exertional malaise (PEM) in a clinically distinct subset of Long COVID patients, in whom delayed exertional symptoms coexist with consistently normal macrovascular investigations.

Points in general relativistic shock wave interaction are “regularity singularities” where spacetime is not locally flat [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We show that the regularity of the gravitational metric tensor in spher- ically symmetric spacetimes cannot be lifted from C0,1 to C1,1 within the class of C1,1 coordinate transformations in a neighborhood of a point of shock wave inter- action in ...

Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy for sialolithiasis.

open access: yesNippon Jibiinkoka Gakkai Kaiho, 1994
Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) was undertaken on 11 patients with sialolithiasis. In three patients, fragmented calculi were excreted via the duct of the gland. In four patients, though fragmented calculi were excreted from the gland to the duct, complete disappearance was not achieved.
