Sugar Chromatography of Mammary Gland Extracts

Nature, 1952
THE communication from Drs. Caputto and Trucco1 on “A New Galactose-containing Compound from Mammary Gland” interests us because our own work on lactose synthesis did at one stage give results, very similar to those they now report. The interpretation we put upon our results, however, was different from that which they derive from theirs; further, the ...

Estimation of plasma testosterone without extraction and chromatography

Clinica Chimica Acta, 1975
A new radioimmunoassay for plasma testosterone in human blood plasma is described. The assay is performed directly upon the plasma without extraction and purification of the testosterone. Antibodies to testosterone-7alpha-carboxyethyl thioether-bovine serum albumin are used and data concerning the specificity of these antibodies are given.

Solvent classification for chromatography and extraction

Journal of Planar Chromatography – Modern TLC, 2012
A new method of solvent classification is proposed based on the five system constants of the solvation parameter model for transfer of neutral compounds from the gas phase to solvent and hierarchical cluster analysis for identifying solvents with similar properties and for organizing them into selectivity groups.

On-line coupling of extraction with gas chromatography

Journal of Chromatography A, 2008
A recent trend in the development of analytical methodologies is the integration of the sample preparation step directly with the chromatographic system. In integrated on-line systems, extraction, clean-up, separation and detection are connected with each other and the whole analytical procedure takes place in a closed, usually automated system.

Supercritical Fluid Extraction/Chromatography

2020
The solvating power of supercritical fluids is highly dependent on the density of the fluid. High fluid density in the supercritical fluid is achieved as a result of the high pressures created by the system rather than by intermolecular attraction as with liquids.

Making Bacterial Extracts Suitable for Chromatography

2003
Despite the exotic appearance and odor of bacterial extracts, it should be remembered that they are predominantly water with only a few percent w/v solids. The twin objectives of preparation prior to chromatography are, therefore, clarification and concentration.
