g post-extraction dry socket

Journal of Al-Rafidain University College For Sciences ( Print ISSN: 1681-6870 ,Online ISSN: 2790-2293 ), 2021
To evaluate the efficiency of oxidized regenerated cellulose (ORC) in preventing post-extraction dry socket.Materials and Method: We present a single blind, randomised study on 30 patients to evaluate the efficacy of the ORC, placed only once within the alveolus, on the reduction of the incidence of impacted third molar post-extraction dry socket ...

An Injectable Black Phosphorus Hydrogel for Rapid Tooth Extraction Socket Healing.

ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces
The excess production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) will delay tooth extraction socket (TES) healing. In this study, we developed an injectable thermosensitive hydrogel (NBP@BP@CS) used to treat TES healing. The hydrogel formulation incorporated black

The prevention of dry sockets in the extraction of teeth

Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, 1948
Abstract It has been proved that all postoperative painful sockets can be prevented by the operator's application of a planned approach for each simple extraction of a tooth. This plan includes: (1) history and clinical examination, including x-rays of every tooth to be removed; (2) diagnosis and treatment, before the removal of teeth of any patient ...

Extraction sockets: erratic healing impeding factors

Journal of Clinical Periodontology, 2013
AbstractAimThe aim of this exploratory study was to analyse prevalence of extraction sockets showing erratic healing and evaluate factors potentially impeding healing.MethodsErratic healing was defined as extraction sites showing clinical observations of fibrous scar tissue occupying the extraction site rather than bone following 12 or more weeks of ...

Effects of resveratrol on bone-healing capacity in the mouse tooth extraction socket.

Journal of Periodontal Research, 2019
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE After tooth extraction, the extraction socket undergoes several steps of soft and hard tissue healing. The healing process of the extraction socket is modulated by a range of signaling factors and biochemical agents.

Extraction socket healing in the calcium deficient rat

Australian Dental Journal, 1975
Abstract— The healing of extraction sockets was studied in normal and calcium deficient rats. New bone formation occurred earlier and proceeded more rapidly in the deficient rats, and the newly formed trabeculae were sparse and delicate but with a similar osteoporotic appearance to the alveolar bone.
