Developmental gene expression of procollagen III in bovine extraembryonic membranes during early pregnancy

Molecular Reproduction and Development, 1997
A major secretory protein produced by bovine chorioallantoic membranes, in vitro, was previously identified as the carboxyl-propeptide of alpha-1 type III collagen. In the present study, the protein and gene expression of procollagen III by bovine chorioallantois between days 17 and 45 of pregnancy was investigated.

Early prenatal diagnosis; A study of biopsy techniques and cell culturing from extraembryonic membranes

Clinical Genetics, 1974
The study concerns the diagnosis of fetal condition early in pregnancy ‐ within the first trimester. An instrument was designed to allow biopsy of the extraembryonic membranes under visual control. The instrument was tested in 95 pregnant women prior to legal termination of pregnancy.

[Chromosomal mosaicism of extraembryonic cell membrane, detected during prenatal diagnosis].

Genetika, 1996
Data on detection of chromosomal mosaicism in amnionic cells and chorionic villi obtained by prenatal cytogenic diagnosis are presented. The frequency of chromosomal mosaicism in preparations of amniotic fluid cell culture was 2.6% (6 out of 226), and that in "direct" villus preparations was 1.6% (13 out of 774).
