Updates and controversies in contemporary grading of clear cell renal cell carcinoma and papillary renal cell carcinoma

open access: yesHistopathology, EarlyView.
New concepts, innovations and some issues have emerged since the adoption a decade ago of WHO/ISUP grading for CCRCC and PRCC. Plasma Elastase Screening in Hematological Disease Reveals Its Potential as a Diagnostic and Prognostic Biomarker in Hematological Malignancies

open access: yesInternational Journal of Laboratory Hematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Neutrophil‐extracellular traps are net‐like material released by triggered neutrophils and composed of decondensed chromatin linked to nuclear proteins. Elastase, one of the fourth most represented neutrophil‐specific serine proteases stored in azurophil granules of naïve neutrophils, exerts various actions, including degradation ...

Limited lenalidomide exposure and access to rescue plerixafor can eliminate haemopoietic progenitor cell first collection failure in bortezomib, lenalidomide and dexamethasone treated transplant eligible multiple myeloma patients

open access: yesInternal Medicine Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract This retrospective single‐centre study assessed sequential strategies to improve the success rate for haemopoietic progenitor cell mobilisation in multiple myeloma. Transplant‐eligible multiple myeloma patients treated with bortezomib, lenalidomide and dexamethasone experience a mobilisation failure rate of 32%.
